Lessons -
Beginning students will learn:
* Horse and barn safety
* Grooming - picking out feet, brushing, different types of brushes and how to use those brushes.
* How to tack up a horse and un-tack the horse.
* Parts of the horse
* Parts of the saddle and bridle.
* How to make the horse walk, trot, and eventually canter once the student has achieved balance and correct riding position.
* Mounted games.
* Proper riding position
* Ground work.
* How to properly feed a horse.
* How to care for a horse.
* How to maintain the barn & stalls.
* My goal is for my students to have enough knowledge to eventually own, maintain and ride their own horse properly.
Intermediate Students will learn:
* Intermediate riders should be able to complete grooming and tacking up their horse by themselves.
* Riders should be able to properly do everything above that beginners are taught.
* Riders should be comfortable controlling their horse at the walk, trot and canter.
* Will teach bending & leg aids.
* Experience with trot poles.
* We can teach jumping but you will need your own horse for that at this time.
* Practicing mounted games.
***Occasionally Beth will ride along with the student so that we can demonstrate a specific skill. I believe that people learn by watching and then doing.

- If you are going to miss your lesson, I would appreciate a 24 hour notice so I can try to fill the spot. If you have a family emergency I will completely understand, however, please understand that this is my business and how I support my horses. Please do not call minutes before your lesson to cancel your lesson or or simply do not show up as I will be forced to charge for your lesson before your child is allowed to come back. I would ask that you please respect my time as I do yours.
